Vietnam Ministry of Health has officially issued the long-awaited COVID-19 protocols for foreign arrivals in Vietnam. The regulations state that visitors with negative COVID tests can enjoy quarantine-free travel from day one.
Vietnam government on Tuesday (15 Mar 2022) agreed to resume its unilateral visa exemption policy for citizens from 13 countries as Vietnam seeks to reopen inbound tourism after nearly two years of border closure.
No more tour package registration or 7 day quarantine or other strict rules, international tourist to Vietnam will be welcomed widely from 15 March.
Vietnam will no longer limit the frequency of regular international flights from 15 February and air passengers shall not be required to take rapid COVID-19 test before boarding and after landing in Viet Nam.
Vietnam must be prepared to safely reopen tourism, ideally at the end of March and no later than the end of April, Prime Minister.
